Machinery

When seeking sustainable pallet wrapping, old, worn, or unsuitable machinery can pose a risk of negating reductions in plastic consumption or cost savings that could be achieved through the use and implementation of optimised films.

In addition to providing high quality films, Manupackaging UK are also distributors of Robopac packaging machinery, allowing us to provide customers with a complete solution for pallet wrapping in a diverse range of options and environments that maximises sustainable use, cost savings, and load stability.

If you would like to explore how investing in pallet wrapping machinery can benefit your packaging, and discover the options we can provide, please get in contact.

Machinery Turntable

Turntables

For environments where pallets are transported to be wrapped in fixed locations.

Turntables are designed for use with pallets carrying uniform-loaded goods (i.e. boxes, cartons), and are a cost-effective and user-friendly option for customers to transition from hand wrapping pallets, saving time and money while providing consistency without complexity. As the film carriage remains in a fixed positon, turntables can accommodate film reels up to 20kg in weight.

We can also supply turntable machine options with ramp-accessed low profile turntables for safer forklift loading, shaped plates for pallet jack loading, and other optional extras including film clamping, cutting, spreading and welding systems, in addition to stainless steel variants for use in low temperature areas.

Machinery Rotary Arm

Rotary Arms

For environments with limited floorspace, or wrapping irregular pallets.

Rotary Arm machines are recommended for customers who often wrap pallets with taller, heavier, unstable, or fragile loads, as the pallet remains stationary while the arm and film reel rotates around the pallet, ensuring loaded goods do not move to provide a more uniform film application for better stability in transport and storage.

Rotary arms are also ideal for environments with limited space, as their fixed footprint is limited to the main pillar; however as the film carriage is located on the moving arm, reels only up to 8kg in weight can be used with Rotary Arm machines.

Additional Rotary Arm machine options include top-pressing plates for stabilising lightweight palletised goods.

Machinery Robot

Robots

For use in enviroments where pallets in are wrapped in remote locations where fixed power supply is limited.

Robot wrappers are compact self-propelled machines designed wrap and stabilise pallets of various loads and sizes, and ideal for customers looking for flexibility of use over high volume pallet wrapping needs. On board sensors help the robot circumnavigate pallets safely and ensure an even and strong application of stretch film, and carry safety features including an accessible emergency stop button, bumpers, and optionally available with automatic stop-start sensors that pause the machine should they detect an obstruction. Powered by removable and rechargeable Lithium batteries for market-leading low energy consumption, robots can wrap up to 250 pallets on a single charge.

Robot wrappers are also an alternative cost-effective entry-level option into machie wrapping as they do not carry the typical installation costs of turntables or rotary arms, and can carry film reels up to 20kg in weight.

Machinery Automatic

Fully Automatic

For use in warehouses with automated production or transportation lines, where high volume throughput is essential.

Manupackaging UK can also supply variants of turntable, rotary arm, and top-ring wrapping machinery for integration into automatic lines where pallets are transported into packaging areas by means of conveyor.

In addition to supplying standard machine models, Manupackaging UK can also consult and oversee the manufacture, supply, and installation of bespoke fully automatic machinery.

It all starts with STATS

It all starts with STATS

Deciding what type of machine will work best for helping you wrap pallets more sustainably is a decision that needs to be carefully considered.

As well as being right for the film you are using, the way you load your pallets, how frequently you need to wrap pallets, and the environment where you handle them all need to be thought about - our STATS audits not only look at the most appropriate film options available to you, but also the machines also being used. In most cases, upgrading your machinery to a newer, energy-efficient model can help you achieve optimal film use in terms of sustainability and performance more frequently; and in most cases, by means of savings achieved through reduced film spend and operational costs, pallet wrapping machines can pay for themselves in as little as 12 months.

Choosing the wrong machinery is an expense; but choosing the right machinery however, is an investment - book a free STATS audit today and invest in your packaging.
